Got the 'bathroom trick' on a date last night (a la Curb) when the check arrived. First time that's happened and had a laugh with the waitress about it while she was gone. Needless to say, there won't be a second date.

haha.........I was on a date with a guy who complained that I ordered a $10 glass of wine........I stood up, put my coat on, threw a twenty on the table and left. He was fucking mortified cuz I made sure every table around us knew exactly what was going down. What an ass hole.

If I ask someone to dinner, albeit a date or just a friend, I pick up the tab 100%............isn't that how it works??

I probably should've clarified. I never expected her to pay for anything, that's why I thought it was funny that she would pull that move. If I ask someone out, it's understood I'm picking up the tab for the night; even if I'm asked out, I'll pay for the date.

It was funny too, because it's a restaurant I frequent so I've brought a few dates there and casually know the people working.
